The Story
Sofia, 14, wanted to go on a school club trip, but it was expensive. She was great at math, but how could that help? She saw her neighbor struggling to help his younger son with homework and had an idea. She could offer tutoring. At first, she was nervous. She made a simple flyer and gave it to her neighbor. He was thrilled and agreed to pay her for one hour, twice a week. Soon, two other families from the neighborhood hired her. Sofia realized she didn't have to wait for someone to offer her a job. She could create her own by using a skill she already had.
