The Story
Chloe, who is 10, was excited to tell her friend Mateo about the goal she scored in soccer. As she explained the big kick, she noticed Mateo was looking down at a video game on his phone. He kept saying, 'Uh-huh, cool,' but his eyes never looked up. Chloe felt her excitement disappear. It felt like he wasn't really listening at all. Later that day, her dad started telling her a story. Chloe realized she was looking at a tablet. She quickly put it down and looked at her dad. She didn't want him to feel the way she felt.
