The 'dix-' PatternFor the numbers 17, 18, and 19, it's easy! We take 'dix' (ten) [deess] and add the second digit. Take a look:17 = dix-sept (ten-seven) [dees-SET]18 = dix-huit (ten-eight) [dees-WEET]19 = dix-neuf (ten-nine) [dees-NUHF]Don't forget the little hyphen (-) between the words!
