Key Rules & Conventions

The Capital Letter Rule ๐Ÿšฆ The first word of a sentence always starts with a capital letter. Look for the big letter! That word is the leader and goes first. The Period Rule ๐Ÿ›‘ The last word of a sentence always has a period at the end. Look for the little dot! That word is the caboose and goes last. The 'Makes Sense' Rule ๐Ÿค” The words in the middle must make the sentence sound right. After you place the first and last words, try the middle words. Say it out loud to see if it makes sense.
