Key Rules & Conventions

The Action Rule Use a PERSONAL pronoun when the subject does an action to someone or something else. If the action is going from the subject to a different person or thing, you need a personal pronoun like 'me', 'him', 'her', or 'us'. The Mirror Rule Use a REFLEXIVE pronoun when the subject does an action to itself. If the action is 'reflecting' back to the subject, you need a reflexive pronoun that ends in '-self' or '-selves', like 'myself', 'himself', or 'themselves'.
