Key Rules & Conventions

The 's' Rule for One He, She, It + Verb with an 's' When the pronoun is singular (he, she, it), the verb usually gets an 's' at the end. The 'No s' Rule for More Than One We, They + Verb with no 's' When the pronoun is plural (we, they), the verb is plain and has no 's' at the end. The Special 'I' and 'You' Rule I, You + Verb with no 's' The pronouns 'I' and 'You' are special! They always use a plain verb with no 's'.
