Key Rules & Conventions

Rule 1: They Stand Alone! 🧍 Possessive pronouns replace the noun. You don't need to say the object's name again. Just use the pronoun. Say 'The book is mine,' not 'The book is my book.' Rule 2: No Apostrophe! 🚫 Possessive pronouns never, ever use an apostrophe ('s). Always write 'yours,' 'hers,' 'ours,' and 'theirs.' Never write 'your's' or 'her's.' That's a different rule!
