What & Why
In fitness, 'form' is the specific way an exercise is supposed to be done. Think of it like a recipe for movement! Using good form ensures you're working the right muscles and, most importantly, keeping your body safe. Why does it matter so much? Because quality is always better than quantity. Doing 5 push-ups with perfect form is much better for you than doing 20 push-ups the wrong way, which could strain your back or shoulders.

Example 1 — The Perfect Squat
The squat is a fantastic exercise for leg and core strength. Here’s how to do it right:Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, toes pointing slightly outward.Keep your chest up and your back straight. Imagine you're trying to show off the logo on your shirt.Lower your hips back and down as if you're sitting in a chair.Go as low as you can comfortably while keeping your heels on the floor and your back straight. Your knees should track over your feet, not cave inward.Push through your heels to stand back up to the starting position. Squeeze your glutes at the top!

Example 2 — The Solid Plank
The plank builds amazing core strength, which helps with almost every other activity. Here's the form:Place your hands directly under your shoulders, or rest on your forearms.Extend your legs straight back, resting on your toes.Your body should form a straight line from your head to your heels. No sagging hips or piking your bottom up in the air!Engage your core by pulling your belly button in towards your spine.Hold this position without holding your breath. Start with 15-20 seconds and build from there.
