What is a Progress Report?

The ExcelOS progress report is a snapshot of your child's athletic journey. Think of it less like a report card and more like a map. It shows where they've been, the skills they're developing, and the new paths they can explore.
2

Look for Growth, Not Just Scores

The most important thing to look for is progress over time. A child improving their own personal best is a huge win! The goal isn't to have the highest score in every category, but to see effort, learning, and steady development.
3

Celebrate Every Step

Use the report to find specific things to celebrate with your child. Maybe their balance has improved, or their teamwork score went up. Acknowledging their hard work builds confidence and keeps sports fun.

Sample Practice Questions

Challenging
Your child is returning from a minor injury (and has been cleared by a doctor to play). Their new report shows lower scores in speed and power. How should you interpret this data?
0.Assume the child is no longer as athletic as they were before the injury.
1.View the report as a new baseline, focusing on celebrating small, gradual gains as they rebuild strength safely.
2.Push the child to train harder to get back to their old scores as quickly as possible.
3.Disregard this report entirely since the injury makes the results invalid.
Challenging
The report's "Nutrition" section has a goal of "eating a balanced snack for energy before practice." Which choice best reflects this goal?
0.Eating a large bag of candy right before practice for a quick sugar rush.
1.Avoiding all snacks to maintain a certain body composition.
2.Only eating snacks that are labeled "high protein" to build muscle.
3.Choosing a snack with components like fruit and yogurt to provide steady fuel for practice.
Easy
What does a "benchmark" in an ExcelOS report typically represent?
0.The highest possible score an athlete can achieve.
1.A standard or average score for a similar group, used for context.
2.Your child's personal best score from all previous reports.
3.The minimum score needed to qualify for the next level of play.
