The 'Ir a + Infinitivo' Formula
Subject + [conjugated form of 'ir'] + a + [infinitive verb]
This is the main pattern for talking about the near future. First, choose your subject (like 'yo' or 'nosotros'). Second, conjugate the verb 'ir' to match the subject. Third, add the word 'a'. Finally, add any infinitive verb that describes the action.
Making it Negative
No + [conjugated form of 'ir'] + a + [infinitive verb]
To say something is *not* going to happen, simply place the word 'No' directly before the conjugated form of 'ir'. The rest of the formula stays exactly the same.
