Rule #1: Pronoun Placement Pronoun + Verb The special words (lo, la, los, las) always go right BEFORE the verb. You say 'La veo', not 'Veo la'. Rule #2: Matchy-Matchy Agreement Pronoun must match the noun's gender and number. You have to play a matching game! If the noun is feminine and singular (like 'la fresa'), you must use 'la'. If the noun is masculine and plural (like 'los plátanos'), you must use 'los'.
