Core Formulas
Calculating Elapsed Time
$ ext{Elapsed Time} = ext{End Time} - ext{Start Time}$
To find out how long an event lasted, subtract the start time from the end time. Remember to handle minutes and hours separately and convert minutes if they go over 60.
Finding End Time
$ ext{End Time} = ext{Start Time} + ext{Elapsed Time}$
If you know when something starts and how long it lasts, add the duration to the start time to find when it will finish.
Finding Start Time
$ ext{Start Time} = ext{End Time} - ext{Elapsed Time}$
If you know when something ends and how long it lasted, subtract the duration from the end time to find when it began.
Time Conversion (Minutes to Hours)
$1 ext{ hour} = 60 ext{ minutes}$
When adding or subtracting time, if your minutes total 60...
