Core Formulas

The Division Equation Dividend รท Divisor = Quotient Use this to set up your problem. The total amount you start with (Dividend) is divided by the number of groups or the number in each group (Divisor) to find the answer (Quotient). Checking with Multiplication (Fact Families) Quotient ร— Divisor = Dividend After you find your answer, you can check if it's correct by multiplying it by the divisor. If you get the dividend you started with, your answer is right!
