When you add 1 to any number, the answer is always the next number you would say when counting.
The 'Turn-Around' Rule
a + 1 = 1 + a
It doesn't matter if you add 1 to a number, or a number to 1. The answer is the same! 5 + 1 is the same as 1 + 5.
