The Passé Composé with 'avoir'To talk about actions that are finished in the past, we often use the passé composé (past tense) [pah-say kom-poh-ZAY]. For many verbs, we form it with the verb avoir (to have) [ah-VWAR] in the present tense and a special word called the participe passé (past participle) [par-tee-SEEP pah-SAY].Rule: Subject + avoir (to have) [ah-VWAR] (in the present tense) + participe passé (past participle) [par-tee-SEEP pah-SAY] of the verb.How to form the past participle for verbs ending in -er?It's easy!
