Start at the Top
Always start writing your letters at the top line.
When you write big letters, your pencil should touch the top line first. This helps them stand up tall and straight.
Big Lines and Curves
Letters are made of lines and curves.
Look at the letter's shape. Does it have straight lines like H, or a big curve like G? Knowing the parts helps you write it.
One Letter, One Sound
Each letter has its own special sound.
When we see the letter L, we make the 'luh' sound. This is the first step to reading words!
