Identify the Relationship
Always figure out how the *first* pair of words is connected before looking at the second pair.
This is the most important step! Don't guess. Carefully think about what links the first two words (e.g., synonym, antonym, part-to-whole).
Maintain Consistency
The relationship between the second pair of words *must* be exactly the same as the relationship in the first pair.
Once you find the pattern in the first pair, apply that *exact* same pattern to the second pair to find the missing word. If 'big' is a synonym for 'large', then the missing word for 'small' must also be a synonym.
