Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement
A pronoun must agree with its antecedent in number and gender.
If the noun (antecedent) is singular, the pronoun must be singular. If the noun is plural, the pronoun must be plural. The gender must also match (he/him for masculine, she/her for feminine, it for neuter).
Subject vs. Object Case
Use subject pronouns (I, he, she, we, they) when the pronoun is the subject. Use object pronouns (me, him, her, us, them) when the pronoun is the object.
To decide, ask who or what is doing the action (subject). Then ask who or what is receiving the action (object). This helps you choose the correct form of the pronoun.
