To find the right sentence, you must look for a pair of words that are opposites. Both words must be in the same sentence.
The 'Look for Clue Words' Rule
Look for words like 'but', 'not', or 'instead of' between two describing words.
These small words are often clues that the author is comparing two opposite ideas. For example, 'The kitten was tiny, but the dog was huge.'
The 'One Word at a Time' Strategy
Read the sentence and check each important word. Ask yourself, 'Is there another word in this sentence that means the opposite?'
