Street Abbreviation Rule
Capitalize the first letter and add a period at the end.
Use this for common street words like Street (St.), Avenue (Ave.), Road (Rd.), and Drive (Dr.).
State Abbreviation Rule
Use two capital letters and NO period.
This is the special rule for postal abbreviations. For example, Texas is TX and New York is NY.
