Key Rules & Conventions
The Picture-It Rule 🖼️
Close your eyes and make a movie in your head for each word.
Use this to see the difference. A movie of someone `nibbling` a cookie is different from someone `gobbling` it.
The Feeling Rule ❤️
Ask yourself: which word has a bigger or smaller feeling?
This helps you pick the best word. Are you `happy` or are you `thrilled` about your birthday?
The Speed Rule 🏃♀️
Ask yourself: is one action faster or slower than the other?
This works for action words. `Jogging` is slower than `sprinting`.
