Key Rules & Conventions
The First Three Letters Rule
Use the first three letters of the month's name.
For most long months, just write the first three letters to make it short. Easy peasy!
The Capital Letter and Period Rule
Start with a capital letter. End with a period.
Month abbreviations are important, so they get a capital letter and a period dot.
The Short Months Rule
Do not abbreviate May, June, or July.
These month names are already short and sweet, so we leave them as they are. 🍎
