Key Rules & Conventions

The 'Just Add -s' Rule noun + s = plural noun For most nouns, just add an 's' to the end to show more than one. The 'Add -es' Rule noun ending in s, x, z, ch, sh + es = plural noun If a noun ends with a hissing sound, add 'es' to make it plural. The 'Tricky Words' Rule Some words change in a special way. Some words are tricky! They don't follow the rules. We just have to remember them.
