Introduction & Learning Objectives

Learning Objectives Identify a simple repeating color pattern. Name the colors in a sequence in the correct order. Predict the next color in a sequence. Continue a color pattern to fill a series of shapes. Explain that a 'loop' means repeating something. Create their own two-step or three-step color pattern. Have you ever made a friendship bracelet? 🌈 Let's learn how to make color patterns just like that! We will learn about sequences, which are things in an order. We will repeat color patterns to fill in fun shapes. This is called a loop! Core Syntax & Patterns

Find the Pattern Core Look for the smallest group of colors that repeats. Before you color, find the main pattern. Is it Red, Blue? Or is it Red, Blue, Yellow? Repeat the Core Use the pattern core to color all the shapes. Once you find the pattern, just do it again and again until you are all done.
